When it comes to staying eco-friendly and saving energy at home, we often look into various methods of harnessing natural energy. One of these options is utilizing solar power to heat our homes warm water for daily use, also known as solar water heaters, and a common application is rooftop solar water heating systems.
Rooftop solar water heater systems convert sunlight to water heating energy. These systems are designed with a solar collector, primarily located on a house roof, and a storage container, almost always found near the house. The key collector converts sun's radiation, increasing the water temperature higher. We can identify different types of collector configurations, like flat-plate and vacuum chamber collectors.
Heated water is then pumped to the container or reservoir to supply domestic appliance water usage needs including hot showers, and eventually to household sinks, and finally into dishwashers.
